The airport would be developed in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to improve air connectivity to Telangana’s interior regions and link them with major cities across the country: G. Kishan Reddy

ADILABAD: Union minister for coal and mines G. Kishan Reddy on Friday said construction of the proposed airport at Adilabad district will begin soon, asserting that the Central government is committed to the district’s development. He said the airport has been a long-pending demand of local residents and that the project has been accorded top priority.
Kishan Reddy said the airport would be developed in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to improve air connectivity to Telangana’s interior regions and link them with major cities across the country.
The minister, along with local MLA Payal Shankar and MP Godam Nagesh, inspected the existing airport site late in the evening after attending a party meeting in the town. He reviewed land acquisition requirements, site mapping, and other technical aspects with officials.

He said coordinated efforts by the Centre and the State would boost transportation, business, tourism, and the overall economy of Adilabad once the airport becomes operational.
