Kishan Reddy Inspects Gadwal Railway Station, Says 95% Works Completed

Hyderabad: Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy on Monday said 95 per cent of the modernization works of Gadwal-Jogulamba railway station were completed. He visited the station and inspected the ongoing works.
Speaking to media persons, he said 42 railway stations were being developed simultaneously with high-end facilities across Telangana, under the NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In addition to providing better facilities to the passengers, they are being decorated with modern features. Key railway stations like Mahabubnagar, Vikarabad, Tandur, Hyderabad (Nampally), Secunderabad, Moulali, and Cherlapally are being developed with international standards.
Platforms, waiting halls, escalators and state-of-the-art facilities are being made available to accommodate the rush of passengers. The speciality of Jogulamba railway station, located near the world-famous Alampur Jogulamba Ammavari Kshetra, is being decorated with a special design to enhance local spirituality.
The modernization works were taken up at a cost of Rs 6.7 crore and already 95 per cent of them were completed. Once all the remaining work is completed, the station will be dedicated to the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The modernization of this railway station will be of great benefit for devotees from all over the world visiting the temple.
After independence, the Telangana railway sector suffered severe injustice during the joint rule. Now that situation has changed and the work of railway projects worth Rs.80,000 crore is being carried out at a rapid pace in the state. Along with doubling, tripling and quadrupling works, 100 percent electrification of railway lines has been completed. The indigenous technology 'Kavach' and 'Kavach 2.0', which the Modi government has brought with great ambition to prevent railway accidents, are being implemented for the first time in Telangana.
Also, five trains have been made available from Hyderabad as part of the Vande Bharat trains made with indigenous technology. The work of the rail manufacturing unit being set up in Kazipet is already 90 percent complete. It will be inaugurated soon by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Bullet trains will be operated from Hyderabad to Bangalore and Pune in the future. These bullet train projects, which are faster than air travel, will be a game changer and will accelerate industrialization in Telangana and significantly reduce the traffic problem in the city.
