Kishan Reddy Criticizes Rahul Gandhi For Jeopardizing Country’s Integrity

Kishan Reddy requested politicians not to make unnecessary remarks against army jawans

Hyderabad: Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy on Friday lashed out at the Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for attempting to jeopardize the integrity of the country by asking how many fighter jets were crashed during Operation Sindoor.

“Rahul Gandhi’s remarks are detrimental to the integrity of the country,” he said, while speaking to media persons after inspecting various civic works taken up in Himayathnagar. Requesting politicians not to make unnecessary comments against army jawans, he recalled the BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and MLC K Kavitha made nonsensical remarks during surgical and air strikes carried out by the Indian army.

He said that as many 140 crore people in the country were safe because the soldiers were risking their lives on the borders and fighting against enemies. He urged Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party not to undermine the unity and integrity of the country by repeating what Pakistan has said about soldiers.

He pleaded not to drag the soldiers into politics and added that Pakistan hung its head in shame internationally due to the actions taken by the Indian army through Operation Sindoor. He criticized the Congress for asking “how many planes were crashed and how many of them lost their lives?” instead of congratulating soldiers who buried terrorists in Pakistan.

Kishan Reddy further stated that if BRS and Congress cannot congratulate soldiers, they should stop speaking and remain silent. He earlier inspected the ongoing construction of an additional community hall in Bhaggikhan basti at Himayatnagar in Secunderabad parliamentary constituency.

He inquired about the progress of works from residents and alleged that funds were not being released for many development works in the city through Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB).

He urged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to sanction necessary funds for GHMC and HMWSSB to expedite development works. The Union Minister said the contractors, who had undertaken development works in various places, failed to get their payment on time, leading to delays in completing the works.

He alleged that the State government was not in a position to allocate funds to even a corporator and questioned why beauty contests were being held while the accumulated problems in slums were not being addressed.
