Kishan Accuses Revanth of 'Street Rowdy' Tactics
Rejects threats and challenges him to debate

Hyderabad:Union coal and mines minister G. Kishan Reddy on Tuesday rebutted Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s recent remarks, terming them “unreasonable and unjust threats” and asserting that the Chief Minister lacked the authority to restrict his movement in the state.
Speaking to reporters in Delhi, Kishan Reddy said Revanth Reddy’s statements reflected “diversion politics” amid alleged governance failures. “The utter failure to deliver 6 guarantees, 420 sub-guarantees and assurances to the people led to strong anti-incumbency from the masses. To turn public attention, Revanth Reddy is resorting to diversion politics by spreading lies and false news out of desperation, insecurity and even arrogance.”
He also criticised the tone of the Chief Minister’s comments, stating, “We are not in power in Delhi at the mercy of Rahul Gandhi or Revanth Reddy. Modi has been ruling for the last 12 years with the continued blessing of the Indians. I became an MP and came to Delhi with the blessings of the voters of Secunderabad and am not answerable to Revanth Reddy.”
Kishan Reddy challenged the Chief Minister to provide evidence of allegations that he had obstructed projects in the state, adding that he was prepared to resign if such claims were proven. He also alleged widespread corruption and administrative lapses in Telangana.
“It is an open fact how corruption, irregularities and loot are prevailing in the state. The state is falling victim to unbridled corruption by Congress leaders and ministers. The real estate sector and industry were badly hit by poor governance. The state is unable to pay employees’ salaries on time and is indulging in unchecked sale of government lands,” Kishan Reddy said.
He further invited Revanth Reddy to a public debate on the implementation of promises. “Though the rulers have changed, there is no change in loot and corruption between the BRS and the current Congress government. The lives of Telangana people have not moved an inch towards progress or welfare in the last two-and-a-half years. Revanth’s claim of bringing all the change is completely false. Both parties have raised lakhs of crores of rupees in loans and pushed the state into a huge debt trap,” he said.
On infrastructure, the Union minister said the Centre had supported the state in securing loans related to the Metro project and noted that approval for further expansion would depend on proposals from the state government.
Raising the issue of paddy procurement, he questioned the state government’s handling of farmers’ produce. “If squeezing the poor and troubling them by all means is Revanth’s motto, we leave the discretion to him to compare himself to Hitler,” he said.
