Financial losses in the state fell by 20 per cent, compared with a four per cent decline nationally.

I4C CEO Rajesh Kumar highlighted the movement of scam compounds from Southeast Asia to Africa, Sri Lanka and other countries.
He outlined proposed reforms, including a unified investigation platform, an RBI standard operating procedure for banks to stop suspicious transactions and nationwide operations against cybercrime infrastructure.
Sessions covered prevention, inter-state coordination, crimes against women and children, AI-related legal accountability, AI-enabled detection and investigation tools.
Discussions also focused on mule accounts, preventive measures, telecom platforms, nodal officers and escalation protocols.
Citizens facing financial cyber fraud were urged to call 1930 immediately or report incidents at cybercrime.gov.in.
