ACB Nabs Man Seeking Rs 40K Bribe for Rs 4 Lakh Pension
Khammam: The ACB on Monday arrested K. Nagesh, senior accountant of the district treasury office, for demanding a Rs 40,000 bribe from the wife of a deceased person to clear the family pension, based on evidence provided by her.
ACB Khammam range DSP Y. Ramesh Reddy, the bureau acted on the complaint received from the wife of Sublaidu Malliah, an employee of primary healthcare centre, who died a year ago.
She submitted an audio recording and other evidences about the bribe demand by Nagesh, employed in the pensions section.
The ACB said Nagesh would be produced before the Special Sessions Court for SPE and ACB Cases at Warangal.
