WARANGAL: BRS president and former chief minister K. Chandrasheker Rao will visit Narsampet on Sunday to condole the death of former MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy and meet his family at Nallabelli village.
Rao is expected to convey the party’s continued support to the family and provide details of the ₹2.25 crore financial assistance announced by the BRS.
Under the assistance, ₹1 crore each will be deposited in the bank accounts of Sudarshan Reddy’s two children, while ₹25 lakh will be set aside for the welfare and care of his mother, Amruthamma. The assistance is intended to support the children’s education and future needs and provide financial security to the family.
Party sources said Rao decided to extend the financial support in recognition of Sudarshan Reddy’s services to the party and his contribution to the Narsampet constituency. He is also expected to assure the family of the BRS’s continued support.
Sudarshan Reddy died on July 31 while undergoing treatment after falling ill. He was elected BRS MLA from Narsampet in the 2018 Assembly elections.
