KCR set to get back into action? BRS plans big party meet on February19
Meeting will discuss anti-people policies of the Congress, says KTR

Hyderabad: Things appear to be moving towards a more aggressive plan of action by the BRS in taking on the Congress government with former chief minister and BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao calling for an extended general body meeting of his party leaders on February 19.
According to BRS working president Rama Rao, the meeting will discuss “anti-people policies, and the failures of the government.” In a statement, the BRS said the meeting will take stock of the steps BRS workers need to take to expose the Congress government’s failures and hold it accountable to its promises. “The party will also plan its silver jubilee celebrations marking its 25 years, membership drive, and revamping and rebuilding itself.”
The meeting comes in the run-up to the expected elections to local bodies — gram panchayats, mandal parishads, zilla parishads and municipal corporations — which are likely to be held in the near future. The BRS is hoping that it can make its presence felt in these elections after its shutout in the last Lok Sabha elections, and their preceding Assembly elections when it lost power in the state.
The February 19 meeting also comes ahead of the expected state budget session of the Assembly in early March.
The announcement spurred some hectic online activity among the BRS social media handles with excited chatter about ‘KCR’s return’ to action. Chandrashekar Rao, speaking to some of his party leaders at his farmhouse in Erravalli village in Siddipet district, had said that the party will soon hold a large public meeting.
Rama Rao instructed that all executive members of the party at various levels, along with present and past elected representatives including MLAs, MPs and others must attend the meeting to be held at Telangana Bhavan, the party headquarters in the city.
