KCR Likely to the Fore in BRS Battle on BC Reservations
Party leaders, including former MP B. Vinod Kumar, have said that unless the reservations are included in the Ninth Schedule of the Constitution, repeated announcements of intent by the Congress government of implementing reservations will turn into a reality.

Hyderabad: The BRS has decided to take the ruling Congress head on the issue of BC reservations and “expose” the “Congress drama” of holding dharnas in Delhi and if the BRS’ plans proceed as planned, a BRS delegation led by former chief minister and party president K. Chandrashekar Rao will meet with President Droupadi Murumu to submit a representation on the reservations issue.
With the Congress planning a dharna led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in Delhi beginning August 5, and with plans to call on the President on the issue on August 7, the BRS is planning a dharna in Karimnagar on August 8 to expose what the party said are lies being peddled by the Congress on the reservations issue. The dharna in Karimnagar is expected to be led by the party working president K.T. Rama Rao.
Party leaders, including former MP B. Vinod Kumar, have said that unless the reservations are included in the Ninth Schedule of the Constitution, repeated announcements of intent by the Congress government of implementing reservations will turn into a reality.
And as part of this push for inclusion in the Ninth Schedule, the BRS is learnt to be planning to seek an appointment with the President to push for this, and if an appointment is given, then the BRS delegation to Rashtrapati Bhavan will be most likely be led by Chandrashekar Rao, party sources have said.
