KCR, Kishan, Bandi invited for Telangana Talli statue unveiling

Hyderabad:Ahead of the unveiling of the Telangana Talli statue at the Secretariat on December 9, the state government has invited Opposition leaders to participate in the ceremony. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy asked Hyderabad in charge minister Ponnam Prabhakar to personally hand over the invitation letters.
On Saturday, Prabhakar visited the farmhouse of the Leader of Opposition K. Chandrashekar Rao at Erravalli on the city outskirts and invited him to the event on behalf of the state government. Senior BRS leaders, including former MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar and former MLA A. Jeevan Reddy, were present.
Rao hosted a lunch for the minister and the accompanying officials. They reminisced their experiences during the statehood movement, particularly in Delhi between 2009 and 2014 when both Rao and Prabhakar were MPs.
Earlier in the day, Prabhakar called on the Governor Jishnu Dev Varma at Raj Bhavan and invited him to the ceremony.
He said he had also extended invitations Union ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar. “This is not a political programme but an official celebration by the state government. We appeal to all leaders to set aside politics and join us for this momentous occasion." He said would also invite AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi.
