Kavitha Seeks ₹50 Lakh Compensation For Fire Incident Victims

ADILABAD: Former MLC and Telangana Rakshana Samiti (TRS) chief K. Kavitha on Wednesday visited RIMS, Adilabad, following the fire incident at the SNCU ward and demanded that the state government provide ₹50 lakh compensation each to the bereaved families.
Kavitha alleged that negligence in maintenance by the state government had resulted in the fire incident. She also alleged that the government had neglected Rims and that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had not visited the hospital following the incident.
She said Rims did not have a sufficient number of electricians and staff to provide medical services to patients. She also alleged that the state government had failed to provide sufficient funds for the development of Rims, Adilabad.
Kavitha later visited Ginnera village in Indravelli and consoled Kumra Shekubai and Dinesh, who lost their infant in the fire incident.
