Karregutta on High Alert After Bomb Blast
This blast has heightened panic among local residents, coming on the heels of Operation Kagar, which led to the surrender of several prominent Maoist leaders to police in recent weeks.

Warangal: High tension prevailed in the agency areas surrounding Karregutta after a pressure‐bomb blast in Bijapur district of neighbouring Chhattisgarh on Monday. Security forces, on high alert, intensified combing operations around Karregutta following intelligence reports of suspicious Maoist activity.
Three villagers from Dhangol, a hamlet under Angampalli Gram Panchayat in Bijapur, were injured when they accidentally triggered an improvised explosive device (IED) while foraging in the hilly forests within Mashed police station limits. The injured, Korse Santosh (24), Chindem Kannaiah (26) and Kudem Kavitha (17), were rushed to Bijapur Government Hospital for treatment.
