Kamareddy: Shabbir Ali Returns to Alma Mater, Secures `5 crore for ZPHS Makeover

Kamareddy: State government adviser and former minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir laid the foundation for a new building at the Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS) Boys in Kamareddy on Tuesday, where he studied in 1971.
The building is being constructed with `5 crore sanctioned by the government after Shabbir Ali brought the institution’s infrastructure needs to the notice of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
Speaking at the foundation-laying ceremony, Shabbir Ali said the school had a special place in his life and this was where his journey began.
“This is the school where I studied. This is not merely a school for me, but the institution that laid the foundation for my life,” he said, recalling his teachers, classmates and memories associated with the campus.
Ali said meeting former classmates, teachers and present students after several decades at the same school was an unforgettable experience. “Buildings may change, but the memories this school gave me will never change,” he said.
He urged the students to make the best use of the opportunities available to them and eventually give back to their school and society.

In-charge minister Seethakka praised Shabbir Ali for remembering his alma mater and working for its development. She said providing quality education along with modern infrastructure was a priority of the Congress government.
Zahirabad MP Suresh Kumar Shetkar, Jukkal MLA Laxmikanth Rao and collector Ashish Sangwan were present.
