Kamareddy Admin Mulls CCTV Surveillance To Monitor Sand Transport

The committee discussed the preparation and approval status of the District Survey Report (DSR) on sand and other minor minerals

Kamareddy: The District Level Sand Committee (DLSC) on Tuesday reviewed sand availability and measures to curb illegal transport at a meeting held in the mini conference hall of the Collectorate, chaired by district collector Ashish Sangwan.

The committee discussed the preparation and approval status of the District Survey Report (DSR) on sand and other minor minerals, steps to prevent illegal transportation, and the proposal to install CCTV cameras at major junctions to monitor such activities. It also reviewed sand availability in Magi and Achampet villages of Nizamsagar mandal.

Additional collector Victor, sub‑collector Kiranmayi, additional SP Narasimha Reddy, officials from the Mines & Geology and Ground Water departments, and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
