Kaleshwaram Ready for Pilgrim Rush

Warangal: Tight security arrangements were made to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience for devotees attending the 12-day Saraswati Pushkaralu, which will begin on May 15 at Triveni Sangamam in Kaleshwaram, Mahadevpur mandal, Jayashankar Bhupalpally district. The preparations are being overseen by Kiran Khare, the district’s superintendent of police.
Speaking on the occasion, SP Khare said that considering the large number of devotees expected not only from various parts of Telangana but also from neighbouring states such as Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh, robust security measures have been put in place across the catchment area of the Godavari river in extensive coordination with police officials of these states.

Authorities have established 14 parking zones and seven holding points to manage vehicular flow. Emergency response equipment, including cranes, towing vehicles and earthmovers, has been stationed at strategic locations to ensure immediate clearance in case of breakdowns and to avoid inconvenience to pilgrims.
To prevent thefts during the 12-day festivities, crime police have been deployed and surveillance is being maintained on known offenders. Women police personnel and She Teams have been mobilised to ensure the safety of women and children, explained the SP.
Additionally, to prevent accidents at bathing ghats, personnel from the NDRF, SDRF, Singareni and other rescue teams, along with the local police, will constantly watch and respond swiftly in case of any emergencies, he added.
