Justice Ghose Report On KLIS Barrages To Govt In Mid-May

While the Commission’s term is set to expire on April 30, it is learnt that it has sought one additional month for completing its work.

Hyderabad:Justice Pinaki Chandra Ghose, heading the Judicial Commission of Inquiry into the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme barrages, is expected to submit his report to the state government in the second half of May.

It is learnt that the Commission has been making progress in drafting the report, and it is also likely that former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao may be asked to attend a hearing sometime in middle of May. It may be recalled that Chandrashekar Rao also held the irrigation portfolio in his second term as chief minister, the period during which the KLIS project was completed and the three barrages were inaugurated and put to use.
