NCLT Reserves Orders in Jagan-Sharmila Dispute
Hyderabad: The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Hyderabad, on Tuesday reserved orders in a petition filed by AP former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy against his sister Y.S. Sharmila.
The former CM had accused Sharmila of illegally transferring shares of Saraswati Power and Industries held by him and his wife Bharathi, to her and their mother Vijayamma’s names.
Reddy`s counsel argued that his client had entered into an MoU with Sharmila wherein “out of love and affection” he would transfer his and his wife’s shares of Saraswati Power through a gift deed, subject to pending cases in respect of some properties including attachments by the Enforcement Directorate.
But, he said, without clearance of the cases and obligations, Sharmila had transferred the shares, which would adversely impact Jagan Mohan Reddy.
