Jupally Oversees Grand Welcome Preparations For Miss World Delegates At RGIA
The Minister asked officials to ensure a traditional welcome reflecting Telangana’s rich culture and warm hospitality

Hyderabad: Tourism and Culture Minister of Telangana, Jupally Krishna Rao, visited Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad, on Tuesday to oversee the arrangements for receiving international delegates arriving for the Miss World pageant.
The Minister instructed officials to ensure a grand and traditional welcome that reflects Telangana’s rich culture and warm hospitality. “The airport must serve as a vibrant gateway to Telangana’s identity, showcasing our traditions and cultural pride,” he remarked.
Accompanied by officials from GMR passenger experience, the Department of Tourism, Customs, Immigration, and CISF, the Minister conducted a comprehensive inspection of the welcome arrangements. He recommended embellishing the arrival area with floral décor and traditional mango and banana leaf toranas to create a festive and culturally immersive environment.
To facilitate smooth and efficient entry for the guests, the Minister emphasized the need for streamlined immigration and customs processes and called for an increase in reception personnel. He reiterated that every touch point at the airport should visibly celebrate Telangana’s artistic and cultural essence.
During the visit, the Minister personally welcomed Miss India Nandini Gupta and Miss Mexico Marlé Lél Cervantes upon their arrival. He encouraged them to explore Telangana’s historic and heritage landmarks and conveyed his best wishes for their participation in the Miss World event.
