Jupally Flags off Adivasi Tourism Exposure Program in Adilabad
The program aims to provide exposure to urban infrastructure, tourism development, and cultural heritage sites

HYDERABAD: Tourism and Culture minister Jupally Krishna Rao has said the Adivasi Tourism Exposure Programme, launched to familiarise tribal communities with urban life and broaden their social awareness, also aims to encourage them to pursue education and secure jobs.
He flagged off a delegation earlier in the day at Gonduguda in Utnoor mandal of Adilabad district and travelled with them to Hyderabad. On arrival, he received the participants at Taramati Baradari on behalf of the state government.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister recalled that during an earlier programme in Kummarigunta, only a handful among nearly 1,800 attendees had visited Hyderabad, prompting the government to facilitate such exposure visits. He interacted with the group, asking about their experience, comfort at the resort, and challenges back home. He encouraged parents to educate their children for better livelihoods.
The visitors raised concerns about forest officials, lack of proper roads, water availability for farming, mosquito menace and access to gas connections. The initiative, he said, also seeks to inspire educational aspirations among tribal youth by highlighting opportunities beyond their immediate surroundings.
The programme would be implemented in phases across the state as part of a cultural exchange effort. The minister noted that it serves as a vital bridge between the unique Adivasi culture and modern urban civilisation.
