Hyderabad: Rare scenes witnessed at NTR Ghat near Secretariat where followers of Junior NTR raised slogans saying CM.. CM.. Junior NTR CM.., when he along with his brother Kalyan Ram came to pay tributes in connection with the 101 birth anniversary of Telugu film industry legendary actor and former Chief Minister late NT Rama Rao on Tuesday.
Junior NTR’s followers had to jostle with each other to see him but his private security guards prevented them enabling him and Kalyan Ram to pay tributes to late NT Rama Rao in the morning. Both Junior NTR and Kalyan Ram did not respond and left the premises within a few minutes even though the followers continued to raise slogans.
Later, film actor and TDP MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna and his sister Daggubati Purandeswari, who is also Andhra Pradesh BJP president, and other family members came to NTR Ghat and paid tributes. They recalled services rendered by late NT Rama Rao to Telugu film industry and to the State when he was the Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh.( Source : Deccan Chronicle )
