Jubilee Hills Society Polls: Ravindranath Panel Sweeps All 15 Director Posts

The results were officially not declared following Supreme Court directions

Hyderabad: Relentless efforts to safeguard Jubilee Hills Society land worth more than ₹2,000 crore and exposing the fraud committed by the earlier managing committees paid off for the B. Ravindranth panel in the society polls held on Sunday. The Ravindranath panel won all 15 posts of directors, trouncing the rival panel backed by arch-rival T. Narendra Chowdary, popularly known as NTV Chowdary. The defeated panel was led by contractor B. Seenaiah.

The results were officially not declared following Supreme Court directions. Sources told Deccan Chronicle that all the 15 members of Ravindranath panel including two women won comfortably. Though Seenaiah was in the lead at one point, the only candidate in his panel to be so placed, he fell behind by the time all the votes were counted as per Supreme Court directions. Out of the total 4,039 electors 1,814 participated in the polls which were held on Sunday in a school located in Jubliee Hills Road No. 71. The results will be formally announced after Supreme Court orders.

The winning panel had basically campaigned that Ravindranath had successfully safeguarded Jubilee Hills Society land worth `2,000 crore over five years. The other important campaign issue was holding elections to the society. The panel succeeded in convincing the voters that the rival panel had made all-out efforts to stall elections by filing cases in court in contrast to the approach of the Ravindranath panel which pursued all the cases and got clearance to hold elections. The winning panel also campaigned that after they won the elections in 2021 multiple probes were carried out against irregularities over decades and that their re-election would ensure that the fraudsters are punished.
