Jogu Demands Release of ₹2,278 Crore for Adilabad Airfield
BRS senior leaders Vijjagiri Narayana, Mettu Prahlad, Yunus Akbani, Chandala Rajanna, Sajiduddin, Bhatti Satish and Kumra Raju were present.

Adilabad:Former Minister and BRS leader Jogu Ramanna on Tuesday said the Congress and BJP would face the ire of the people if the State government failed to release funds for the development of the joint-user airfield at Adilabad. He said both parties should focus on ensuring the release of the sanctioned ₹2,278 crore, instead of celebrating the issuance of GO No. 36 by the State government.
Speaking to mediapersons here, Jogu Ramanna alleged that Adilabad MLA Payal Shankar was projecting himself as the sole leader responsible for bringing the airport project to Adilabad, while ignoring the role played by Adilabad MP Godam Nagesh.
He remarked that Payal Shankar was trying to play the roles of both the MLA and the MP. Jogu Ramanna questioned why Payal Shankar had failed to secure ₹250 crore from the State government for the revival of the closed Cement Corporation of India (CCI) unit at Adilabad. He also asked why the MLA had failed to obtain funds to complete the remaining 10 per cent works of the Korta-Chanaka Barrage, which irrigates about 50,000 acres in Adilabad district.
BRS senior leaders Vijjagiri Narayana, Mettu Prahlad, Yunus Akbani, Chandala Rajanna, Sajiduddin, Bhatti Satish and Kumra Raju were present.
