Hyderabad: JNTUH on Tuesday dismissed as fake, social media-based rumours discrediting its tie-up with German universities offering integrated BTech and MS courses. Rumours had claimed that Reutlingen University and Kassel University, the two German universities with which the JNTUH had tied-up, were fake.
The JNTUH has vowed to act against those spreading defamatory misinformation. Vice Chancellor Prof. T. Kishen Kumar Reddy said that over the years, JNTUH had signed several MoUs with reputed institutions abroad of which six were active. “These include partnerships with universities in the United States, Europe, and most recently, Germany,” he said.
He said an individual, who is believed to be an NRI in Germany, had acted out of jealousy with malicious intent to spread misinformation about the tie-up.
JNTUH awards the BTech degree, while Reutlingen confers the Master’s degree in computer engineering. Kassel University’s programme in energy systems follows a three-plus-one-plus-one-and-a-
“These universities are among the most reputed institutions in Germany, and offer world-class academic standards,” the Vice Chancellor said. Both programmes carry “100% guarantee from JNTUH” and reiterated that the agreements are fully valid.
