Jewellery Stolen from Passenger’s Bag on Amaravati Bus
The stolen valuables included an uncut diamond necklace, a gold bangle and a gold earring, which had been kept inside a plastic box in his travel bag
Hyderabad: A mechanical engineer from Kondapur complained that gold and diamond jewellery was stolen from his bag while he was travelling with his wife on Amaravati bus from Alwin crossroads to SVN Colony in Guntur.
According to him, the stolen valuables included an uncut diamond necklace, a gold bangle and a gold earring, which had been kept inside a plastic box in his travel bag.
The victim suspects that a gang opened the zip of his bag, removed the jewellery and placed it back in its original position without raising suspicion. Sridhar Babu reportedly suspected two passengers, who were travelling in the rear seats of the bus.
Based on his complaint, police registered a case and launched an investigation. The police are reportedly tracing the suspects’ movements using the booking ID and other available details.
