Jeevan Reddy meets KCR
Jeevan Reddy’s meet with Chandrashekar Rao came a day after BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao met him in Jagtial and invited him into the party and he had agreed.
Hyderabad: Senior leader and former minister T Jeevan Reddy, who quit the Congress recently, met BRS president and former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao at his Erravelli farmhouse on Friday. Party sources said Jeevan Reddy will formally join the BRS on April 20 in the presence of Chandrashekar Rao at a public meeting in his Jagtial Assembly constituency.
Speaking in Delhi, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy made light of the development. In an informal chat with media persons, he said leaders like Ponnala Laxmaiah and P. Vishnuvardhan Reddy had joined the BRS from the Congress earlier and everyone knew their fate today.

On Friday, Jeevan Reddy arrived at Erravelli along with his family members and local leaders from his constituency and was received by Rama Rao and senior BRS leaders.
During the interaction, Jeevan Reddy turned visibly emotional and expressed deep admiration for Chandrashekar Rao, stating that he felt as though he had been divinely guided to work alongside the BRS chief. He conveyed his eagerness to reunite politically after a long gap for the development of Telangana. He remarked that at a time when the state was facing challenges, he felt a compelling need to join hands with Chandrashekar Rao, adding that he was overjoyed at finally getting an opportunity to work with him after many years in politics.
Responding warmly, Chandrashekar Rao embraced Jeevan Reddy and honoured him with a shawl. The two leaders later held detailed discussions over lunch, during which the timing and modalities of Jeevan Reddy’s formal entry into the party were reportedly discussed. Sources indicated that an official announcement on his joining is expected soon.
Prominent BRS leaders were present on the occasion, including former ministers Koppula Eshwar, Gangula Kamalakar and Vemula Prashanth Reddy, MLC L. Ramana, MLA Dr K. Sanjay Kumar, former MP J. Santosh Kumar, and others from the undivided Karimnagar district.
Speaking while leaving the farmhouse, Jeevan Reddy heavily criticised Revanth Reddy and said the AICC had lost control over the state Congress unit. He alleged that the AICC was working as per the instructions of Revanth Reddy.
