Jangoan Cops Return 82 Lost Mobiles

82 lost mobiles returned to owners in Jangaon

Warangal:The Jangoan police have successfully recovered and returned 82 lost mobile phones to their rightful owners at a public event held in Jangaon district on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rajamahendra Nayak urged citizens to report lost mobile phones without delay or despair using the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal without losing hope.

He explained that the CEIR initiative by the central government enables users to block lost phones by registering complete details at https://www.ceir.gov.in. This significantly improves the chances of recovery.

For those unfamiliar with online procedures, the DCP informed that a dedicated officer has been appointed as the CEIR portal in-charge at every police station. He advised individuals to approach their local police station, where the designated officer would assist them in registering their lost mobile phone on the portal and increase the chances of recovery.

He cautioned the public against purchasing second-hand mobile phones and urged everyone to utilise the CEIR portal as a safer alternative. The DCP also appreciated the efforts of police personnel across Jangaon district for their commitment to tracing and returning the lost devices.
