Muslim residents voluntarily contributed to the Ganesh festival celebrations and assured organisers of their support.
Jangaon: Communal harmony was reflected in Gundlagadda in Jangaon district when a Muslim resident contributed to the Ganesh festival celebrations and entered his details in the donation book.
The Ganesh festival is celebrated annually in the colony with the participation of residents from different communities. This year too, festival committee members have been collecting donations, with Muslim residents voluntarily contributing and assuring the organisers of their support for the celebrations.
The residents have also been supporting each other during other religious festivals and community programmes.
Hindu families in Gundlagadda have been extending support during Muslim festivals, while residents visit each other’s homes and participate in celebrations.
The entry in the donation book reflected the mutual respect among residents and their participation in each other’s celebrations.
