Hyderabad: The sleuths of Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Saturday arrested K. Shankar, a Sub-Inspector (SI) in Jagadgirigutta police station for accepting a bribe of Rs.15,000 to release a vehicle and DJ music system of the complainant.
The bribe was accepted through one Nagender of Jagadgirigutta, the ACB officials said adding the SI performed his duty improperly and dishonestly and added that the bribe amount was recovered from the possession of Nagender.
The left hand fingers of Nagender yielded positive in a chemical test. The officials produced both Shankar and Nagender before the special court for ACB cases in Nampally after which the court remanded them to judicial custody.
