ITDA Opens Container School for Adivasi Children Near Adilabad

Facility brings primary education closer to tribal families living in Komaram Bheem Colony

Adilabad: The Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), Utnoor, has set up a container school, Tribal Welfare Primary School, for Adivasi children living with their families in Komaram Bheem Colony on the outskirts of Adilabad town.

Hundreds of Adivasi families residing in huts on government land in the colony have been seeking pattas for house sites. In the absence of a nearby school, children from the settlement were forced to travel long distances for education, while some were unable to attend school regularly. On Sunday, Adilabad MP Godam Nagesh and local MLA Payal Shankar, along with ITDA officials, formally inaugurated the container school, which was established at an estimated cost of Rs 5 lakh.

Following requests from parents, the ITDA arranged the facility to ensure access to primary education within the colony. At present, nearly 20 students are enrolled and studying up to Class II at the school.

Senior BJP leader Ch. Suhasini Reddy, Thudum Debba leaders Thudum Debba, Godam Ganesh and others were present at the inauguration.
