Irregularities in Vaaradhi Recruitment: AISF

All India Youth Federation (AIYF) state secretary B. Yugendar has alleged that a recent notification for around 52 contractual posts in various departments was also being mishandled

Karimnagar: All India Youth Federation (AIYF) state secretary B. Yugendar has alleged large-scale irregularities in the recruitment process of the Vaaradhi Society, which was set up to provide contract-based employment opportunities to unemployed youth. Submitting a representation to district collector Pamela Satpathy during the grievance day programme held at the collectorate on Monday, AIYF members demanded a thorough probe into the recruitment violations.

Yugendar alleged that while the recruitment was meant to be strictly based on merit, the society's in-charge, Anjaneyulu, appointed ineligible candidates by accepting bribes ranging from Rs.50,000 to Rs.2 lakh. He said 400 applications were received for just 10 outsourcing posts at the medical college in Karimnagar, but jobs were sold to unqualified candidates, denying eligible aspirants a fair chance.

He further alleged that a recent notification for around 52 contractual posts in various departments was also being mishandled. Anjaneyulu, he claimed, was giving preference to those with political recommendations or those willing to pay bribes.

Despite the notification being released four months ago, the recruitment process has not progressed. Yugendar demanded that the collector order an immediate investigation into the Vaaradhi Society’s functioning and initiate action against those responsible for the irregularities.
