IPS Probationer Uday Krishna Reddy Moves HC Seeking Quashing of FIR Against Him
The petitioner claimed he had supported the complainant financially on several occasions
Hyderabad: Uday Krishna Reddy, IPS probationer undergoing training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), has approached the Telangana High Court seeking quashing of an FIR registered against him based on a complaint of sexual harassment by a colleague.
The petitioner claimed that he and the complainant had developed a romantic relationship while undergoing foundation training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, which continued at the NPA. According to the petition, both had planned to marry after completion of their training and after receiving their respective postings.
The petitioner claimed he had supported the complainant financially on several occasions.
According to the plea, differences arose after the complainant allegedly suspected him of having an affair with another woman. The petitioner claimed he repeatedly denied the allegation and attempted to reassure her that he was not involved with anyone else. The petition stated that the complainant married an IAS officer on May 28, 2026.
He alleged that after her marriage, the complainant approached him at the NPA and expressed a desire to revive their relationship. He claimed that he declined. At this, he alleged, the complainant lodged a false criminal complaint against him to protect herself.
