IPL At Uppal: Traffic Diversions in Place Today; Police Issue Routes To Avoid

Hyderabad: Malkajgiri traffic police will implement traffic diversions and restrictions in Uppal on April 21, Tuesday, to facilitate the IPL match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals at the Uppal stadium.

Traffic congestion is likely between 12 noon and 12 midnight along the the key stretches including Nagole to Habsiguda via Uppal Junction, and Boduppal to Amberpet via Ramanthapur.

Motorists have been advised to avoid these routes and opt for alternative roads to reduce delays. Specific diversions will also be in place for heavy vehicles coming from Ghatkesar, LB Nagar, Tarnaka, and Ramanthapur, rerouting them towards Nagole, Nacharam, NFC Rotary, and Cherlapally. Vehicles travelling between Warangal and Hyderabad through Uppal were advised to use ORR through Abdullapurmet to ease congestion.

Police also identified five parking zones for spectators. Four parking areas for the general public have been arranged within a 500-metre radius outside the stadium, while one parking facility inside is reserved strictly for VVIP and VIP pass holders. Commuters have been urged to plan their travel in advance and make use of TSRTC buses and the Hyderabad Metro Rail.
