Inter-State Drug Peddler Held In Ranigunj

The police arrested the accused for indulging in illegal procuring and transporting ganja from Odisha to Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police on Tuesday arrested an inter-State drug peddler for illegally transporting ganja from Odisha to Secunderabad.

Following a tip-off, the sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force team nabbed a drug peddler identified as Sunil Bindhani alias Milu (29) of Odisha for indulging in illegal procuring and transporting ganja from Odisha to Hyderabad.

Milu was also found to be selling the substance to prospective customers at a higher price to earn easy money, said Task Force Deputy Commissioner of Police, YVS. Sudheendra. The police seized 1,110 grams of ganja and a mobile phone from the possession of the arrested person.

The police said Milu discontinued intermediate and started working in a cotton mill at Tamilnadu and Nanded. During the lockdown, he went to his native village and was running a fast food center for his livelihood. However, he couldn’t fulfill his lavish expenses with his less earnings.

As per his plan, he purchased ganja from a local agent for Rs.5,000 and brought it to Secunderabad by train. He planned to sell the same to the needy customers at higher price at Ranigunj crossroads when the police caught him.
