Intelligence Officer’s Domestic Dispute Turns Violent
The husband has been working in the Intelligence wing and the couple has been married for several years
Hyderabad: Counter cases were registered by a subordinate officer of the Intelligence wing and his wife following a domestic dispute that allegedly turned violent after the woman caught her husband with another woman. The incident occurred within the limits of Chaitanyapuri Police Station, police said.
According to the police, the husband has been working in the Intelligence wing and the couple has been married for several years. Differences between them had reportedly persisted for the past five years, and divorce proceedings are currently pending before a court.
On the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, the wife allegedly went to a house in the Chaitanyapuri area after receiving information that her husband was there with another woman. When she confronted them, an argument broke out and soon escalated into a physical altercation.
Police said the wife allegedly assaulted both her husband and the other woman and dragged them outside the premises. Videos of the incident later surfaced on social media, showing the husband being manhandled and his clothes torn during the confrontation, which drew public attention.
Following the incident, both the husband and wife approached the police and lodged complaints against each other, leading to the registration of counter cases. Police also said that a case of dowry harassment had earlier been registered against the husband at the Charminar police station in 2020.
