Infant Jesus Shrine to Celebrate Annual Feast

Hyderabad:Parishioners at the Holy Trinity Church, Infant Jesus Shrine at Chikoti Garden, Begumpet, are gearing up for the Feast of the Miraculous Infant Jesus, to be celebrated on Sunday.
Parishioners participated in a nine-day Novena ahead of the feast. The highlight of the celebrations will be the High Mass at 11 am on Sunday, to be celebrated by Archbishop Emeritus Prakasham. There will be an evening procession of the Infant Jesus statue. As the procession passes through the Chikoti Garden area, devotees will sing hymns and Novena prayers.
Sindhu Joseph, a member of the organising committee, said the church began functioning in 1979 and gradually gained prominence as devotees reported receiving blessings and miracles. “Over the years, people from different faiths have been drawn to the shrine, and the Most Holy Infant Jesus continues to bless the faithful,” she said.
Parish priest Fr Gnana Prakash Chinnabathini said elaborate arrangements had been made to ensure that feast-day celebrations are conducted in a disciplined yet grand manner.
