Indiramma Towers Helpline Launched: Call 040-24603572 for Queries, Application Details

Hyderabad:The state government has launched a dedicated call centre to assist applicants seeking houses under the Indiramma Towers housing scheme being implemented in the Hyderabad Core Urban Region (CURE). Housing minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, who inaugurated the helpline at the Housing Board office on Saturday, urged applicants to rely only on official sources and avoid middlemen and misinformation.

The minister said people with queries regarding the application process, eligibility, required documents, payments and allotment could contact 040-24603572 between 9 am and 6 pm. Information will be provided in Telugu, Hindi, English and Urdu, he said.

The government has set a target of constructing one lakh houses in the CURE region, with 7,680 houses in 16 Assembly constituencies taken up in the first phase. The Assembly constituency has been made the unit for implementation and applicants must apply in the constituency where they reside.

Applications can be submitted through MeeSeva centres, the online portal and WhatsApp.

The scheme is intended for low-income families residing in the Hyderabad CURE area, with annual family income not exceeding ₹6 lakh. An applicant must have been residing in the CURE area for at least 10 years, while neither the applicant nor the family should own a house, flat or plot within the CURE area or the Outer Ring Road (ORR) limits. Only one application will be accepted from each family and only one flat will be allotted to an eligible family.

Applications will be scrutinised digitally, followed by field-level verification and comprehensive validation. If the number of eligible applicants exceeds the number of flats available, allotments will be made through a transparent lottery system.

Applicants need only provide their Aadhaar number while applying and need not upload caste or salary certificates, which can be submitted at the time of the lottery.

The minister said applicants must pay an EMD/token amount of ₹10,000 only through UPI or net banking. The amount will be refunded to the same bank account if a house is not allotted in the draw of lots. Applicants have been advised to keep their MeeSeva receipt, payment receipt, application number and mobile number active until the verification, allotment and refund processes are completed.

The proposed flats will comprise a bedroom, hall and kitchen, with an approximate built-up area of 525 square feet. Each flat is expected to cost between ₹40 lakh and ₹60 lakh. The government will provide a ₹5 lakh subsidy and register 20 to 25 square yards of undivided share of land in the beneficiary's name. The beneficiary will have to pay only ₹6 lakh, the minister said.
