Indiramma Housing Scheme Launched Under CORE Urban Region (CURE) Economy
As part of the initiative, the government plans to construct one lakh houses for eligible beneficiaries.

Hyderabad: The Indiramma LIG (low income group) housing scheme in the core urban region (CURE) was launched by minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. The scheme will ensure 500 houses in each of the 16 constituencies as a pilot project and extended to another eight later.
Launching the scheme along with ministers Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar and Mohammed Azharuddin, Srinivas Reddy also unveiled the 'Indiramma Houses' brochure and the application processes via MeeSeva and WhatsApp.
Aspirants must apply within their respective constituencies. Sites were selected in consultation with local public representatives.
Applications can be submitted starting from July 21 via MeeSeva centers, WhatsApp (number 8096958096), or the designated official website. Each flat will measure 525 sq ft, and government land belonging to the Housing Board, revenue, police and other departments, valued at Rs 150 crore to Rs 300 crore an acre, will be acquired for the project.
The beneficiary's annual family income must not be more than ₹6 lakh and should not own any land or a house within the CURE area. Only one application per family will be accepted, and allocations will be made based on eligibility.
A '360-degree' screening process will be used to shortlist beneficiaries for the Indiramma housing scheme. If the number of applications exceeds the available units, a public lottery will be conducted to sanction the houses.
The proposed flats under this scheme will measure 525 square feet and include a bedroom, a hall, and a kitchen.
Srinivas Reddy noted that with the launch of one lakh houses in the CURE would take the total number of homes provided to the poor to eight lakh —4.5 lakh houses were sanctioned in the first phase and another 2.5 lakh were launched by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in the second phase. While over two lakh houses are expected to be completed by next month.
