Adilabad: Government adviser Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Tuesday unfurled the National Flag at Adilabad collectorate on the occasion of the 13th Telangana Formation Day celebrations and paid rich tributes to the Telangana martyrs. He also also inaugurated Indiramma houses in Riksha colony in the town and presented new clothes to the beneficiary couples.
Shabbir Ali said the Indiramma houses were role models for the country and gave self-respect to the downtrodden. He said the state government was committed to the welfare of women and their empowerment and giving them top priority in welfare schemes.
Adilabad MLA Payal Shankar, collector Rajarshi Shah, SP Akhil Mahajan, municipal chairman, Bandari Satish, Grandhalaya Samta chairman, Mallepula Narsaidh, market committee chairman, Srikanth Reddy and DCC president, Naresh Jadhav, former DCC president, Sajid Khan and Adilabad Assembly Constituency party in-charge, Kandi Srinivas Reddy and former TPCC general secretary, Gandrath Sujatha were present.
In Asifabad, MLC Banda Prakash, deputy floor leader, unfurled the National Flag. MLA Palvai Harish Babu, MLC Dande Vittal and Kova Laxmi and collector K. Haritha and SP Nitika Pant were present.
Chief Whip Vemula Veeresham unfurled the National Flag at Nirmal collectorate and collector Bhavesh Mishra, SP Janaki Sharmila were present.
In Mancherial, government adviser Harkara Venugopal unfurled the National Flag at the collectorate. Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna, collector Deepak Kumar, Mancherial mayor Darni Madhukar and DCP A. Bhaskar were present.
