IMD Forecasts Rain, Gusty Winds; Sajjanar Issues Traffic Advisory
Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 37°C and 26°C respectively: IMD
Hyderabad: India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday informed that light rain or thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds with a speed of 30 to 40 kmph are very likely to occur in parts of the city towards evening or night.
“Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 37°C and 26°C respectively. Surface winds are likely to be Westerlies or North-westerlies with wind speeds around 06-08 kmph,” the IMD said.
In a weather and traffic advisory, Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar said as per IMD, light rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds are likely in parts of Hyderabad towards the evening or night today.
“Rain may lead to waterlogging and slow-moving traffic at some locations. Commuters are advised to plan their travel in advance, maintain safe distances while driving, and avoid unnecessary movement during heavy spells. Also avoid sheltering under trees or unstable structures,” he said in a post on ‘X’.
