Illegal Pakistani Immigrants Staying In Old City: NVSS

Prabhakar said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy should give a freehand to the police to deport foreigners, who are illegally staying in the city.

HYDERABAD: In view of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the BJP on Thursday demanded the Congress state government to launch a special drive to catch illegal immigrants from Pakistan and Bangladesh staying in Hyderabad's Old City.

Addressing a press conference, BJP vice president N.V.S.S. Prabhakar said there were reports that many Pakistani and Bangladeshi nationals have been living in Old City even after expiry of their visas.

"Terrorists in Pahalgam (Jammu and Kashmir) killed Hindus by identifying their faith who went there as tourists. This is shattering," said Prabhakar.

Prabhakar said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy should give a freehand to the police to deport foreigners, who are illegally staying in the city. He said the earlier BRS government failed to do this because of a tie-up with the AIMIM.

Referring to the BRS' upcoming foundation day on April 27, Prabhakar said former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao pledged to develop 4 crore people of Telangana state, but in reality only four members of his family amassed wealth. He predicted a revolt in the BRS as K. T. Rama Rao is dictatorial and ignores others.
