Illegal Cattle Transport Foiled at Eturnagaram
Truck carrying cattle without permits intercepted; driver admits to illicit sale plans in Hyderabad.

Warangal: In a crackdown on illegal cattle transport, Mulugu district police intercepted a truck and rescued 27 cattle being moved without valid permits on Monday.
Acting on a tipoff, officers stopped the vehicle en route from Charla mandal to Hyderabad and found the animals confined in cramped, unsanitary conditions with no access to food or water; several were injured. Veterinary staff conducted on-the-spot health checks before transferring the rescued cattle to Rampur Goshala in Bhupalpally for medical care and shelter.
During questioning, the truck driver admitted the cattle had been bought in Charla villages for illicit sale in Hyderabad. Police have registered a case under the relevant provisions of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and launched a full investigation.
