Ilaiah Slams KCR's Brief Assembly Presence
“The BRS created a huge hype about KCR attending the Assembly, but he left without even staying for two minutes”: Government Whip Beerla Ilaiah

HYDERABAD: Government Whip Beerla Ilaiah on Monday questioned Leader of Opposition K. Chandrashekar Rao's brief presence in the Assembly, and his departure while the House was in session. He accused Rao of avoiding discussions on public issues and focusing only on his salary and protection of Assembly membership.
Speaking at the Assembly’s media point, Ilaiah referred to the social media buzz around Rao’s participation in the proceedings. “The BRS created a huge hype about KCR attending the Assembly, but he left without even staying for two minutes,” he said.
Ilaiah alleged that Rao’s conduct once again revealed his discrimination against Dalits. He claimed the Opposition leader left without even seeking the microphone, continuing his reluctance to address a Dalit in the chair respectfully as ‘Mr Speaker’.
He urged the public to judge Rao’s true regard for Dalits based on this behaviour. Condemning Rao’s absence from debates, Ilaiah said the Opposition leader’s presence was merely a formality and reflected irresponsible conduct.
