IIT-H Fest: Tech, Tunes & Sustainability
Cultural programmes are being conducted alongside technical events, with competitions and performances in music, dance, drama, fine arts, and literature. Student teams from various institutions are taking part in these segments, along with invited performers.

Hyderabad: Clean energy, emerging technologies, and student-led innovation were the focus at IIT Hyderabad, with the institute hosting Elan and nVision 2026 alongside a sustainability-focused technology summit.
The student-run techno-cultural festival, now in its 17th edition, is being held at the Kandi campus and brings together participants from IIT Hyderabad and other colleges. The programme includes technical competitions, workshops, innovation showcases, and cultural events spread across three days.
An important part of this year’s edition is nVisionX’26, a technology summit scheduled for January 10, which focuses on clean energy and sustainability. The summit includes sessions involving researchers, industry professionals, and students working on renewable energy, climate solutions, and sustainable technologies.
The technical segment of Elan and nVision features hackathons, robotics competitions, design challenges, and workshops covering areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, electric vehicles, and other emerging technologies. According to organisers, several events are being held in parallel across campus venues.

IT minister D. Sridhar Babu attended the programme along with institute officials, faculty members, and student organisers. Evening programmes included live music performances, with playback singer Mohit Chauhan scheduled to perform, along with independent and electronic music artistes.
