After Dil Raju, IT raids at Pushpa-2 director Sukumar’s house in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: For the second consecutive day, the sleuths of Income Tax (I-T) department continued raids at the offices of film producer Dil Raju, Mythri movies and Mango Media here on Wednesday, it is learnt.
During the raids, the sleuths primarily focused on the source of funds invested in the making big budget movies starring Ram Charan and victory Venkatesh. Ram Charan’s movie ‘Game Changer’ was released on January 10 while Venkatesh’s ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunam’ on January 14.
Accompanied by the personnel of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the I-T sleuths carried out raids since Tuesday morning. The lockers of Dil Raju were also examined apart from his production house – Sri Venkateswara Creations in Banjara Hills.
The office premise of Mythri movies makers that produced blockbuster Pushpa-2 film along with the director Sukumar were also searched in addition to Mango media office. After Sukumar landed at the airport in Hyderabad, the I-T sleuths directly took him to his office to check his documents.
These film makers came under the radar of the I-T department for leaking huge collections of their movies released in December and January on account of Sankranti festival.
