DGP C.V. Anand Praises Boxer Nikhat Zareen
CV Anand said that Nikhat's journey is a reminder that excellence is built on discipline, physical fitness, mental resilience and a constant determination to improve qualities that are indispensable in both sport and policing.
Hyderabad: Elite Indian boxer and Telangana Police DSP Nikhat Zareen met Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) C.V. Anand on Monday and congratulated him on assuming charge as the state's new DGP.
Nikhat expressed confidence that under C.V. Anand's leadership, Telangana would continue to excel not only in maintaining law and order but also in promoting sports.
Praising Nikhat, the DGP said, "Her sporting excellence is well recognised, and she has represented India with distinction in international boxing competitions. She exemplifies the perseverance and determination that every young sportsperson can aspire to."
Recalling his association with Nikhat Zareen's family, C.V. Anand said he played cricket with her father, Jameel Khan, during his tenure as the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Nizamabad district.
He further said that Nikhat's journey is a reminder that excellence is built on discipline, physical fitness, mental resilience and a constant determination to improve qualities that are indispensable in both sport and policing.
"I encouraged her to stay focused and continue inspiring young athletes across the country. I am confident she will bring many more laurels to Telangana, India and the Telangana Police. I wish her strength and success in every bout ahead," the DGP said.
