HYDRAA Reclaims Rs 3000 Cr Govt Land

Inspections revealed attempts to grab nearly 43 acres of government land using fictitious documents

HYDERABAD: HYDRAA carried out a major land reclamation drive on Saturday, recovering more than 15 acres of government land estimated to be worth over `3,000 crore in Miyapur. The land is located in Survey No. 44 of Maktha Mahbubpet in Serilingampally mandal.

Officials said the operation followed complaints of government land being illegally occupied. HYDRAA had earlier reclaimed five acres in the same survey number on December 8, 2025, during which 18 shops spread across nearly 200 metres along the Miyapur–Bachupally main road were removed.

After reports of illegal registrations and the suspension of a sub‑registrar linked to the land dealings, HYDRAA conducted a fresh field‑level inquiry. Inspections revealed attempts to grab nearly 43 acres of government land using fictitious documents.

Officials added that an individual named Imran had already been booked for illegally occupying 1.5 acres in Survey No. 44 by misusing documents related to Survey No. 159.

On Saturday, the agency took full possession of the 15 acres, marking boundaries, fencing the land, and installing boards declaring it government property.
