Hydraa Razes Encroachments At Mehdipatnam

At Neknampur, HYDRAA demolished a barrier wall built by encroachers.

Hyderabad:HYDRAA on Tuesday removed road encroachments at Mehdipatnam’s Humayunnagar crossroads and Neknampur. Acting on a complaint received at the Prajavani programme, HYDRAA officials, along with those from the GHMC, removed multiple paan shops and a cafe’s front part, all of which were encroaching on the footpath and the road.

At Neknampur, HYDRAA demolished a barrier wall built by encroachers. The removal of the wall reduced the distance between two colonies.

Officials said squatters had encroached on a 800-square yard land and constructed multiple sheds and a wall. Locals complained to HYDRAA during the Prajavani session about the encroachment and also pointed out that the sheds were raised under high-tension power lines.

HYDRAA commissioner A.V. Ranganath visited the site on Saturday, and inspected the encroachment. After verifying documents, he directed officials to raze the wall. The HYDRAA action now opens a 30-feet-wide road connecting Sri Venkateswara Colony and Osmania Colony.
