HYDRAA Commissioner Ranganath said a few individuals were deliberately tarnishing the image of their department through propaganda on social media. HYDRAA officials protected Rs 1.10 lakh crore assets from being encroached through the drive.
Speaking to mediapersons in Hyderabad on Saturday, Ranganath said that they had completed 600 operations so far. HYDRAA is impartial. It is not for disaster but to protect assets, he said.
The HYDRAA commissioner said that the government had given them a free hand in protecting government property. For HYDRAA, Congress and MIM are same. There are many schools and colleges like the Fatima College, which had been constructed within the Full Tank Level (FTL) of a local lake. There is a false propaganda that HYDRAA is demolishing structures in the night. HYDRAA will not remain silent. "We have taken the media men to the college premises. Around 100 more huts have come up in the place, compared to the past. There are some evil forces behind this encroachment."
