HYDRAA Demolished Unauthorised Structures Near Ameenpur Lake Again

Hyderabad: The HYDRAA on Tuesday for a second time demolished unauthorised structures that had sprung up again at the Padmavatinagar layout near the Ameenpur lake on Tuesday including the compound wall and fencing reportedly belonging to YSRC former MLA Katasani Rambhupal Reddy of Andhra Pradesh.

The demolitions were taken up after receiving complaints from the people during the Prajavani programme held at the HYDRAA office on Monday.

“Three months ago, a demolition drive was carried out to clear the unauthorised constructions but they mushroomed again,” said an official from HYDRAA. “The politician allegedly re-built the fence around a portion of the lake and we pulled it down again,” he added.

The locals had previously reported encroachment on the layout spread over 24 acres in Survey No.s 193, 194, and 323 of Padmavatinagar, adjacent to Pedda Cheruvu in Ameenpur. The complaints were reported to HYDRAA commissioner A.V. Ranganath.
