Hyderabad: Self-Claimed YMCA President, Three Others Arrested
Jayakar Danniel and the others were produced before a court for judicial remand. The case is still under investigation.

Hyderabad: The Gopalapuram police on Monday arrested Jayakar Danniel, self-claimed president of Secunderabad YMCA, and three others for allegedly breaking into the YMCA premises and theft of documents and computer equipment, all worth Rs 5 crore.
The other accused were identified as Leonard Myron, Kalyan Tammadi and Ameer Khan, said Gopalapuram sub-inspector L. Suresh.
They allegedly stole original documents of properties worth Rs 5 crore, two laptops, printers, and Rs 21,000 cash belonging to A.R. Daniel Raj, owner of a computer sales firm, which were kept in his music room-cum-office situated on the YMCA premises.
Police booked a case in Crime No. 35 of 2025 for trespass, house break-in (grave), committing theft at a place of worship, damaging and destroying property under the BNS.
Daniel Raj told Deccan Chronicle that Jayakar Danniel on the intervening night of February 19/20 trespassed into his music room on the YMCA premises and committed the theft.
Jayakar Danniel and the others were produced before a court for judicial remand. The case is still under investigation, police said.
GHMC bill collector in ACB trap
Hyderabad: The ACB on Monday trapped GHMC bill collector G. Madhu of Rajendranagar circle for demanding and accepting a Rs 45,000 bribe from a factory owner for not upwardly revising property tax. The ACB said Madhu accepted the money through one V. Ramesh.
The ACB said the bribe amount was recovered from Ramesh. Both of them were arrested and produced before a special judge for ACB cases, Nampally.
The ACB appealed to citizens affected by demands for money from government personnel to lodged complaints on the toll-free number 1064, through social media platforms WhatsApp (9440446106), Facebook (TelanganaACB), X @TelanganaACB). It said the name and details of the victims and complainants would be kept secret.
